The Shaldon Suite exceeded expectations with its spacious layout and new carpet, complemented by a super comfy sofa bed. The quiet atmosphere despite its proximity to a main road was surprising, and the bathroom featured an impressive spa jet bath and a rain shower with color-changing lights. Breakfast options were reasonably priced and delicious, and the staff were notably friendly and helpful.

The Standard Twin Room offered a decent amount of space, making it suitable for families. The shower pressure provided a satisfying experience, ensuring a good flow of hot water.
No electrical plugs near the bedside made it a hassle to charge devices. The kettle didn’t fit the socket, so no chance of hot drinks in the room. The carpeting was a bit worn, and little touches like slippers would have been appreciated, especially for the price. It's not in the heart of the town, but it is accessible via the motorway, which some may find convenient. The dining area resembled a common room, lacking a more pleasant ambiance. A thorough cleaning would benefit the establishment, as cobwebs and dust were noticeable in the room, especially around the curtain poles and wardrobe. The bathroom showed signs of mould that detracted from the overall experience.
